Take Your Table to the Tropics

Spring Tablescape - Dreaming of heading somewhere tropical, even if it is just my table.

post-title

I love a fun tablescape. Color and texture make me happy. Also mixing high and low, disposable dinnerware (because entertaining has to be easy) with finer pieces to keep and collect.
Here’s a fun tablescape tropical vibe idea for Shavuot, spring, summer soirées or a backyard barbecue.
Add some Sangria and a floral maxi dress to feel like you are in a balmy Caribbean Island. Maybe it won't take you quite that far, but when I saw these Kim Seybert birds, I just had to fly with them.

They looked great with the trimmed linen napkins and were even cuter in person when they arrived. That’s always the best part about picking something out online - it's like when the movie is even better than the book (rare…but when it happens it's a gem!)

And then I stumbled across Altoona placemats with a tropical vibe, bamboo flatware and wood trim disposable dishes. It all came together.

The final touch was the flowers. I knew it needed to be colorful and bold with tropical vibe. I happened to stop at my new favorite lunch spot Jus by Julie and then walked right into a pop-up flower sale on the street that had just the tropical vibe I was looking for - palm leaves, birds of paradise, and more.

I always love to discover something new. I have worked with many florists but you can never have too many contacts in your rolodex (rather, iPhone contacts; perhaps rolodexes are obsolete?).
